BATCH 2 N – POWER BUILD BENEFICIARIES CONCLUDES THEIR AUTOMOBILE TRAINING IN INNOSON KIARA ACADEMY, NNEWI

100 beneficiaries of the N – Power Build concluded their first phase training in Innoson Kiara Academy Nnewi on the 16th of August, 2019. The training, which lasted for three months, exposed the trainees on theoretical and practical knowledge of Automobile maintenance.

N-Power is a job creation and empowerment programme initiative of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) of the Federal Government of Nigeria. The N – Power programme which is meant for young Nigerians between the ages of 18 to 35 years is an intervention programme that will help address the challenge of youth unemployment by providing a structure for large scale and relevant work skills acquisition and development, while linking its core outcomes to fixing inadequate public services and stimulating the larger economy.

N – Build is a Non – graduate category of N – Power designed for training and certification of unemployed Nigerian youths in order to build a new crop of highly competent and skilled workforce of technicians, artisans and service professionals. The programme runs for a period of twelve (12) months. Three (3) months in Training Centres and nine (9) months apprenticeship with relevant industry employers.

As part of their exit package, beneficiaries were provided with a complete Automobile toolbox each to enable them set up their own mini – workshops after the training programme.

We appreciate the N – Power and NADDC team for empowering unemployed youths in Nigeria, and wish our trainees a successful industrial experience.

INNOSON KIARA ACADEMY TRAINS N – POWER BUILD (N - BUILD) BENEFICIARIES

Innoson Kiara Academy Nnewi has yesterday 20th May, 2019, commenced the N – power Build (N - Build) training of 100 trainees who will participate in Automobile Mechatronics apprenticeship training.

The N – Power Build (N - Build) is a National Social Investment Scheme designed to address opportunities for earning a living by the young unemployed Nigerians while developing a qualitative system for the transfer of entrepreneurial and technical skills suitable for employment in a knowledge driven economy.

In addition, this platform is formed in order to build a new generation of skilled and highly competent workforce of technicians, artisans and service professionals.

QUALITY ASSURANCE DELEGATE FROM PRESIDENTIAL AMNESTY OFFICE VISITS INNOSON KIARA ACADEMY, NNEWI.

On the 14th August, 2018, Innoson Kiara Academy Nnewi, currently training 200 Ex-Agitators of the Niger Delta Youths, under The presidential Amnesty Program, received Barr. Amazuo Bereprebofa, Head of Vocational Training Unit, Presidential Amnesty Office, Abuja.

The visit was aimed at ascertaining the quality of the on-going trainings offered by the Academy.

While addressing the trainees, Barr. Amazuo commended them for their comportment and efforts so far in learning the Automobile works in the Academy.

Trainees, who could not hide their feelings, expressed gratitude to the Amnesty Office for providing them with personal Laptop Computers, which has enhanced their learning abilities in various departments, as well as, skill acquisition in Information and Communication Technology.

As regards the training quality, trainees pointed out that, they have gained tremendous knowledge which will help them become relevant to their various communities in particular and Nigeria in general.

Trainees also appealed to Barr. Amazue to use his office and notify the Amnesty Office concerning their empowerment, as soon as they complete their training program, so as to put the skills acquired into practice.

Finally, the delegate engaged in a general tour of the Academy’s buildings, as well as, facilities in the workshop and the main production line.

Barr. Amazue, while expressing his excitement and satisfaction, commended the Academy for offering such a technical training, with the state – of – the art equipment being put in place, urging the trainees to utilize the remaining training periods to gain more knowledge.
